Category: Her

These articles explore identity and how its impacted by society. Gender, sexuality, disability, class and all things social constructed. My main fascination with history comes from why we behaved and understood things differently and how society and identity interconnect. This section features the articles I have written about identity.

  • How is it shaped and impacted by society?
  • Do people want to fit in or rebel?
  • The role of activism in the heritage sector
  • Campaigns for greater equality (Feminism, LGBTQ+, race, disability…)
  • Where expectations and ideas came from (such as masculinity)
  • Featuring gender, sexuality, disability and class history and more!

Why ‘Her’?

Please note the choice of ‘Her’ in Heritage, History & Her is to represent identity in all its forms and all these themes, including those of trans people. It is one complex identity to act as a spring board to explore more and how they interact as in Intersectional / Black Feminism.

Why not read this UN article on Intersectional Feminism to learn more?

Where I lack lived experience of an identity, I strive to prioritise the voices of those who do with external links.
