How to do history, a DIY guide to research

COMING SOON!

Historical research can be overwhelming. Where do you get started to uncover more about that story your grandad referenced? Where do you find old maps or historic images? I’ll teach you how to discover history’s interesting stories. A big part of the fun is in the discovery – I want to allow people the chance to access this directly.

Learn how to access the past yourself – video tutorials on substack teaching you how to use and where to access resources to uncover history. Suggest new research topics – if could be your street as the example for the next tutorial!

There are stories and discoveries in everything and everyone. Let’s see what we can unearth.

I’m really passionate about improving access and inclusion – and those who I’d most love to support with my work and skills are those traditionally excluded from history and its study. If £6 a month isn’t affordable, this form will give you a different subscription link depending on what you can afford.
